'Be smart and tough!' Trump accuses Democrats of 'tricks' in New Year's Eve message
Raw StoryPresident-elect Donald Trump demanded his party do more to fight for his Cabinet nominees in a rant posted to Truth Social on New Years Eve. "We just won a Historic Landslide and Mandate from the American People, but Senate Democrats are organizing to improperly stall and delay the confirmation process of many of our Great Nominees," wrote Trump. Many of Trump's top picks have generated immediate controversy, including his selection of vaccine conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services, former Hawaii congresswoman and accused Russia sympathizer Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence, MAGA loyalist Kash Patel for Director of the FBI, and Fox News personality and accused sexual assaulter Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense. In recent days, Susie Wiles, a top GOP strategist now tapped for Trump's chief of staff, has warned nominees to stay off social media until confirmation to try to avoid further controversy and drama that could prevent the GOP from falling in line.
