Courier giants swear by long-term plans

Global courier companies such as DHL, FedEx and UPS said their operations in China are running normally and expressed confidence in the long-term investment in the country. Wu's remarks sought to quiet rumors floating in cyberspace that international courier players have suspended postal and parcel delivery services in China due to COVID concerns. Chan further said FedEx's Shanghai International Express and Cargo Hub at Pudong International Airport has continued operations even during the lockdown in the city, providing outbound services and facilitating cross-border trading. Pan Helin, co-director of the Digital Economy and Financial Innovation Research Center at Zhejiang University's International Business School, said China's cross-border courier industry has been robust.
