People Don't Trust National Parties Anymore, Says KCR

Deccan Chronicle

NIZAMABAD, MEDAK: BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday came down heavily on the Congress and the BJP, predicting a coalition government at the Centre in 2024 in which regional parties will play a key role as “people do not believe in national parties anymore.” Speaking at a series of Praja Ashirvada Sabha meetings in Bodhan, Nizamabad Urban, Yellareddy, and Medak Assembly segments, Rao said that the BRS would emerge as a strong force in national politics by winning the majority of MP seats in Telangana state. Rao was accompanied by MLAs Shakil Amer, Bigala Ganesh Gupta, Jajala Surender and Padma Devender Reddy in their respective Assembly constituencies, while MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha joined Rao in Bodhan, and minister T. Harish Rao joined the meeting in Nizamabad Urban. Holding the Congress solely responsible for what he called the misery of people in Telangana state, Rao said: “With a new face, Congress is trying to rule the people of Telangana as if it was not responsible for 58 years of misery due to the merger of Telangana with Andhra.” “If the Congress government throws Dharani portal into Bay of Bengal as said by Rahul Gandhi, farmers will be automatically drowned in Arabian Sea,” he said, accusing Congress leaders N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and A. Revanth Reddy of objecting to Rythu Bandhu and 24x7 power supply without any reason. Listing out BRS’ accomplishments, Rao said the state government restored the Nizamsagar project to its previous glory after utter neglect in erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh.
