Dongying's GDP rises 3.6% in H1

LIU ZHIFENG/FOR CHINA DAILY Dongying in East China's Shandong province saw its gross domestic product grow 3.6 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2022, hitting 174.15 billion yuan, according to official statistics. The added value of the city's primary, secondary and tertiary industries totaled 7.81 billion yuan, 104.74 billion yuan, and 61.61 billion yuan in the first six months, respectively, up by 6.6 percent, 4.4 percent, and 1.9 percent. In the first half of this year, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery in Dongying increased by 6.8 percent year-on-year, ranking first in the province. The consumer market recovery accelerated in Dongying, with total retail sales of consumer goods increasing by 2.6 percent in the first half of 2022, ranking second in the province.
