As many as 80 per cent of UK households are already overpaying for energy, Mr Lewis adds, because they are paying at the price cap when they could be paying lower. The Price Cap moves every three months and the April to June Cap's now predicted by British Gas, E.On & EDF to rise 5 per cent to 7 per cent.
