These 4th Graders Wrote A Super Catchy Song To Help Them Learn Long Division

”Math” and “fun” rarely end up in the same sentence for kids. Florida teacher Nadine S. Ebri shared a video of her students singing a special song they wrote while learning long division. ”I always heard that teachers dreaded teaching long division!” she wrote in the caption on Facebook. “I was teaching my students about the steps to a long division problem when a student began to beat,” Ebri said. “There is a difference between being ‘bad’ and simply being ‘bored.’ Most students are bored with the traditional way of teaching, causing them to act out in class.” Ebri added that she’s happy her video’s viral fame is inspiring teachers to change some of their education practices.
