The 554th birth anniversary of Vijayanagara emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya was commemorated with grandeur at Gorantla of Sri Sathya Sai district on Sunday. Historian MyNaa Swamy, speaking at the event, highlighted the emperor’s exceptional governance and commitment to public welfare through extensive field visits across the empire. Mr. Swamy observed that Sri Krishnadevaraya personally oversaw administrative affairs, travelling from the capital, Vijayanagara, to various regions. The historian said that contemporary leaders should draw inspiration from Sri Krishnadevaraya’s governance, noting his dedication to administrative efficiency and public welfare.
