Chandrababu Naidu orders increased drone usage to keep crime in check in Andhra
India TodayIn a bid to control crime and enhance security measures in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed officials to use drones for proper surveillance and to spot any suspicious activities, among other tasks. The Chief Minister also suggested using drones to deliver medicines to areas without transportation facilities, improve sanitation in villages and municipalities, and spray pesticides for mosquito control. Company officials briefed Naidu and other government representatives on how drones could be used to assess traffic volume in congested areas, identify necessary actions, and monitor security vulnerabilities in real time. Following the presentation, Chief Minister Naidu instructed state officials to take immediate steps to expand the use of drones across the state.
