Read our privacy policy James Gandolfini’s son, who is set to star in The Sopranosprequel film, has revealed that his father did not allow him to watch the hit HBO series. The film will star Gandolfini’s 21-year-old son Michael as a young Tony Soprano. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the actor disclosed that he had previously never watched an episode of The Sopranos because his father “didn’t want me to see Tony Soprano – the violence, the angry, the mean”.
