Thief falls asleep after robbery, finds himself hung upside down in morning

A thief was hung upside down from a tree and beaten up in Rajasthan's Bundi for stealing cables from local farms, police said on Monday. Angry at the theft and having caught the man with the stolen items, the locals beat him up, brought him to the village and also tied him to a tree, police said. On Sunday morning, the villagers caught a thief named Hansraj and hung him upside down to a tree and questioned him. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and rescued the thief from the clutches of the villagers and brought him to the police station.
