Four schools in Mangaluru, Udupi receive hoax bomb threat

Three private schools in Mangaluru and a private residential school in Udupi received emails threatening of explosive substances on their premises. Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal said a general email threatening of presence of an improvised explosive device in the school was sent to Manipal School in Attavar in Mangaluru South Police Station limits, Presidency School and PU College, and Cambridge School, both in Mangaluru Rural Police Station limits. A thorough anti-sabotage check was conducted by ASC and Bomb Disposal Squads in the three schools. Similarly checks were also carried out at Sharada Residential School, Kunjibettu in Udupi, whose principal also received an email threatening an explosion.
