22% rise in school enrollment from Smart Cities Mission: IIM Bengaluru study

The Smart Cities Mission has had a transformative impact on urban life in India, according to two studies by the Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru. The studies revealed that school enrolment rose by 22%, and crime tracking became more efficient due to SCM initiatives in various cities. SAFER CITIES THROUGH SMART SURVEILLANCE SCM’s focus on real-time crime tracking has made urban areas safer. Across 93 smart cities, 59,802 CCTV cameras and emergency call boxes have been installed, integrated with police operations via the Integrated Command and Control Centres.
