Book you’re most proud of writing: “Mountains Beyond Mountains” or maybe “Rough Sleepers.” Favorite place to escape: My house in western Massachusetts. What’s next Author Brendan Slocumb joins book club readers Feb. 23 to discuss his bestselling mystery, “The Violin Conspiracy,” with Times classical music critic Mark Swed.
