A husband and wife who were found dumped in a bushland creek near Sydney Airport were likely targeted because they 'owed money', as police believe their suspected killers have fled overseas. The body of 33-year-old Greenacre woman Zhuojun 'Sally' Li was discovered in dense bushland by a jogger in Sir Joseph Banks Park on December 9 Police previously said they held grave concern for Ms Li's partner Jai-Bao 'Rex' Chen 'There was no other criminality that we’re aware of. 'As I said previously, we thought there was a third party involved – a very strong investigative theory – and that has now been confirmed.’ Det Supt Doherty said police believed the murders took place at the couple's Greenacre home before their bodies were driven by two third parties to the bushland near the airport. 'That phone has been forensically examined and from the enquiries we’ve had so far we believe there’s at least two people involved and both have travelled overseas.’ Det Supt Doherty said police were liaising with both Chinese and Taiwan authorities in their hunt for the suspected third parties involved. The second body, which is yet to be formally identified, was discovered during a search for Ms Li's partner, 33-year-old Jai-Bao 'Rex' Chen, on Tuesday Pictured: forensic officers examine the scene He also sought to bat off criticism that it took police a week to find the second body, which was less than ten metres from Ms Li's.
