GMDA proposes two new water plants at Basai, Chandu Budhera
Hindustan TimesThe Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority has proposed the construction of two new water treatment plants, Chandu Budhera and Basai, each with a capacity of 100 million litres per day, officials said on Friday, adding that this initiative aims to boost the city’s water treatment capacity to 970 mld. Currently, GMDA operates treatment plants with a combined capacity of 570 mld, including three 100 mld at Chandu Budhera and three 90 mld at Basai. GMDA chief engineer Rajesh Bansal said that the new plants at Chandu Budhera and Basai will be operational within two to two-and-a-half years.
