Bar Council Of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Bars Practice Of Two More Lawyers Over Arrest In POCSO Case, Complaint For House Trespass
Live LawThe Bar Council of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry has barred the practice of two lawyers vide a resolution dated 18th December, one accused in a POCSO Case, and the other accused of house trespass and giving life threats. The prohibitory order comes days after the Bar Council passed similar orders against two lawyers for professional misconduct and suppressing the factum of being a full-time employee. Another lawyer, M. Nagaraj, was barred from practice on account of a complaint alleging that he illegally trespassed into the property of the complainant's daughter along with 14 other lawyers, erected a name board of 'Phoenix Law Associates' on the said property and meted out life threats to the complainant's family. Through a notification dated 15th December, the Council had also passed prohibitory order against E. Vimal Kumar for professional misconduct, based on the complaints received that alleged swindling of money and giving death threats to a woman and her intellectually disabled son.
