Telangana: Villagers hold placards during funeral, demand ex-gratia for Gulf migrant worker

The villagers in Telangana’s Valgonda held a protest during a funeral procession of a Gulf worker demanding ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh from the state government. The state government provided a free ambulance facility for transporting the coffin from Hyderabad Airport to Valgonda village. "About 200 Telangana migrant workers die every year in the Gulf countries. Final rituals were performed for some of the bodies in Gulf countries," said Singireddy Naresh Reddy, President of District Sarpanches Forum.
