Bengaluru: Isolation for asymptomatic health workers reduced to five days

Amid the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in the city, wherein a large number of healthcare workers have also tested positive, the state Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee has reduced the isolation period from seven to five days. As per the state protocol, it was disclosed in the TAC meeting that the Covid positive health workers will be strictly monitored for those five days. As per the report published by the New Indian Express, the proceedings of the meeting read, "If they remain asymptomatic for the next five days, they can report back to work. Health workers who are symptomatic shall follow the state protocol of seven days isolation."
