Defiant George Santos profanely trashes latest criminal charges

Anyone who expected scandal-plagued Rep. George Santos to resign in the wake of getting hit with still more criminal charges has likely not been following the New York Republican's political career very carefully. CNN reports that Santos was once again defiant after being slapped with a fresh 23-count criminal indictment on Tuesday that included charges ranging from wire fraud to identity theft to falsification of records. In talking with reporters on Wednesday morning, Santos maintained his innocence and said he would not resign his seat or consider taking a plea deal. So yeah, I’m pretty much denying every last bit of charges.” Santos also told reporters why he couldn't possibly be guilty of what he described as the "bullsh-t" charge of defrauding his own donors.
