QB TJ Finley enters transfer portal, seeking to play at fifth school in six seasons

Quarterback TJ Finley is looking for his fifth school and a fresh start in 2025. The 6-foot-7 Louisiana native and former LSU signee started the first three games of the 2024 season at Western Kentucky before being sidelined by an ankle injury in mid-September. Finley is one of the more experienced starting quarterbacks in the transfer portal. He has a 14-13 record in 27 starts, including an 8-5 mark as the full-time starter at Texas State in 2023 when he completed 67.4 percent of his attempts for 3,439 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Over his career, Finley has completed 63 percent of his 810 attempts for 6,128 yards, 37 touchdowns and 20 interceptions.
