Bluetooth Enabled Devices Unsafe: Symantec
Bluetooth has become a very popular feature in mobile phones and cameras. Security giant Symantec Corporation has cautioned users of the possible dangers of using Bluetooth-enabled devices. Users of these devices are susceptible to several attacks such as Bluespamming, BlueSnarfing and BlueBugging However, Symantec noted that Bluespamming does have a low-level security risk. Blusnarfing is also quite dangerous as it could allow attackers to sneak into an unfortunate user’s phone and scan through the data. Bluebugging, according to Symantec is the biggest threat, where hackers can remotely control a handset while making calls without permission.
