Sudiksha Konanki missing: Joshua Riibe's passport seized as search continues
In the latest development in the case of missing Indian-origin student Sudiksha Konanki, authorities have confiscated the passport of Joshua Riibe, a 22-year-old resident of Iowa. Riibe spent hours with investigators and accompanied them and his legal team to the beach where police believe Konanki disappeared. Although Riibe is considered a 'person of interest' in the case, he is believed to be the last person to have seen Konanki before her disappearance during a spring break trip to the Dominican Republic. Over the weekend, Dominican Republic Attorney General Yeni Berenice Reynoso also interviewed Riibe at length, and the interrogation is expected to continue on Monday with a local prosecutor, CNN reported, citing sources.
