Coimbatore railway station rolls out ‘one-minute video challenge’ to popularise UTS Mobile App

The Coimbatore Junction railway station has rolled out a ‘one-minute video challenge’ to popularise the Unreserved Ticketing System mobile app., to scale up patronage from the existing 6.5 percent. Though the app spares passengers of the discomfort of standing in long queues to book unreserved tickets, the information has not reached passengers to the desired extent. Hence the initiative to drive home the advantages of the time-saving app that offers passengers multiple payment options: UPI, debit card/credit card, e-wallets and net banking, Station Director Sachin Kumar said. The cost and time-saving app is well-suited for passengers boarding unreserved trains to various short and long distances, J. Sathish, former member, Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee, and Managing Partner of J.
