Read our privacy policy Pete Davidson caused controversy on last week's Saturday Night Live after mocking a Republican politician who lost an eye in Afghanistan during an IED blast. Rather than simply apologise, American Navy veteran Dan Crenshaw was invited onto the show, appearing alongside Davidson during the weekend update segment. The SNL member began alone on stage, apologising profusely and adding: "For one day, Republicans and Democrats agreed on one thing: I'm a dick." However, after a few seconds, Crenshaw's phone started ringing, with the song "Breathin'" by Ariana Grande playing out - Davidson and Grande, who were engaged, recently split up.
