After Thirumalagiri SI, ACB nabs Lingampet SI in bribe case

Hyderabad: A day after the arrest of Thirumalagiri Sub-Inspector Vukkurthy Suresh in a bribe case, Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau caught another SI posted at Lingampet police station in a bribe case. Kandi Sudhakar, SI of Lingampet police station in Yellareddy Circle in Kamareddy district, was caught red-handed when he allegedly demanded and accepted bribe of Rs.12,500 from a complainant to do an official favour not to implicate as accused in the cheating and criminal intimidation case registered at the police station. In a separate case, Dr. Rathod Ramesh, an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon of Udayanayak thanda in Utnoor mandal in Adilabad district, was caught red-handed at Veterinary Hospital, Shyampur, when he allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs.15,000 from the complainant to issue non-payment certificates for October and November-2023 pertaining to the salary of complainant’s father The complainant’s father was a veterinary assistant at the same hospital. On September 24, Ramesh already demanded and received Rs.3000 as bribe from the complainant to issue the last pay certificate pertaining to the complainant’s father in connection with his transfer.
