“Terrorism has no justification”
The Lok Sabha on Thursday adopted a unanimous resolution to unitedly defeat the forces of terrorism. Reading out the resolution, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar said: “Terrorism has no justification whatsoever in a civilised world and it is the duty of every country which wants to see peace and progress to resist and defeat these dark forces of terrorism.” Sharing the sorrow of the families affected by the attacks, the resolution added: “Realising the global network of terrorists and their unlimited resources, sophisticated arms and training and also their diabolic mindset, there is an urgent need to mobilise the resources and coordinate actions by all countries to track down and eliminate these enemies of mankind.” In the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Hamid Ansari made a reference to the terror strike. Mr. Ansari noted that the indomitable spirit of humankind cannot be subdued by such senseless acts of violence. “The way Mumbai quickly attained normalcy after the terrorist attack speaks volumes for the resolve of our people to confront and defeat the evil designs of those wishing to destabilise the nation and disrupt its progress.”
