Govt. committed to issue ration cards to all eligible families, says CM

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced his government’s resolve to issue ration cards to all eligible families across the State and directed the officials concerned to make arrangements for the same. The officials should take into consideration the applications received for ration cards during Praja Palana programme, requests made during the caste survey and the representations submitted during gram sabhas in addition to those submitted through Mee Seva centres for issuing ration cards. Mr. Revanth Reddy also examined few models of the ration cards prepared by the Civil Supplies department as part of the meeting. Mr. Revanth Reddy felt that immediate issuance of ration cards would have avoided scope for such queues at the Mee Seva centres and directed the officials to take steps to issue them at the earliest besides educating the families not to submit applications repeatedly.
