KCR sanctions Rs 105 cr to district collectors for grand Formation Day celebrations

Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday allotted ₹105 crore to collectors of all 33 districts for holding the 10th Formation Day celebrations of Telangana state in their districts for 21 days from June 2 and urged them to move quickly to implement the new calendar of welfare schemes. The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing a joint meeting of ministers, district collectors, SPs and senior officials at the Secretariat to finalise an action plan for holding the celebrations. This included handing over pattas for 4,01,405 acres of podu land to 1,50,224 tribal beneficiaries from June 24 to 30 in 2,835 villages and thandas; selecting 3,000 beneficiaries in each Assembly constituency under the Gruha Laxmi scheme to extend ₹3 lakh assistance in three instalments to construct houses on their own plots and to select 1,110 beneficiaries in each Assembly constituency under Dalit Bandhu scheme and extend ₹10 lakh financial assistance to each of them. The agriculture department was directed to conduct awareness programmes for farmers to advance rabi season to save crops from unseasonal rains and hailstorms, which are witnessed in summer.
