Ningbo tops national public health service evaluation
China DailyNingbo has once again ranked first in the national evaluation of basic public health services, marking the fourth consecutive time that the city has claimed the highest position in the assessment, as recently announced by the Ningbo Municipal Health Commission. In recent years, Ningbo has made significant strides in enhancing its health service capabilities at the grassroots level, leading to improvements in the healthcare experience for its residents. The establishment of 156 grassroots medical institutions across the city has enabled urban and rural residents to access public health services within 10 and 20 minutes of their homes, respectively. Notably, standardized management services have been made available to 828,300 hypertension patients and 257,800 type 2 diabetes patients, accounting for 69.21 percent and 69.33 percent of the city's total, respectively.
