Parvesh giving cash, liquor in New Delhi seat, alleges Kejriwal
The HinduAam Aadmi Party national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday alleged that his rival candidate in New Delhi constituency, BJP’s Parvesh Sahib Singh, has been “distributing cash, liquor, as well as bed sheets, shoes and glasses, to voters”. The former West Delhi MP denied the charge and said money was distributed as part of a drive by an NGO founded by his late father and former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma. Addressing mediapersons outside the Election Commission of India office, Mr. Kejriwal said he had informed officials about the alleged model code of conduct violation by the former MP and reiterated the party’s plea seeking action against the New Delhi District Magistrate, whom the ruling AAP has earlier accused of acting in a partisan manner. “Yesterday, blankets were distributed in Kidwai Nagar, shoes were distributed in another colony, jackets in another; cash and glasses are also being handed out.
