Central Aid to Develop Infra at Ramappa Temple Circuit

WARANGAL: With the Centre sanctioning Rs 73.74 crore under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment scheme for the development of the Ramappa region sustainable temple and tourism circuit, the Kakatiya architectural marvels will get a facelift in Mulugu and Jayashankar Bhupalpally districts. While the Ramappa temple is on the global map as a Unesco world heritage site, the story of the Kota Gulla temple is one of local involvement at keeping thins going. Palle Kiran, a local, told this newspaper that then Congress government had sanctioned funds and taken up developmental works at Ganapa Samudram and Kota Gullu and celebrated Kakatiya Mahotsavalu on a grand note. Tourism department officials said development of Ramappa temple circuit will give an economic boost by attracting domestic and international tourists and will create jobs for local youths. In the works At the Ramappa temple — Kakatiya Rudreshwara Swamy —circuit, a Unesco world heritage site, the Centre aims to develop infrastructure and provide more facilities at the Ramappa island, Ganapeshwaralayam Kota Gullu temple, Ganapa Samudram lake front and Incherla village.
