The licences of 10 Fair Price Shops, the outlets of the Public Distribution System at the grassroots level, have been cancelled in Ballari district after they were found indulging in irregularities such as excess stock of foodgrains. Addressing media persons at a government guesthouse in Ballari on Friday, H. Krishna, chairman of Karnataka State Food Commission, said a manager of a godown was also placed under suspension in connection with the irregularities.
