Delhi Education Dept Writes to PWD Over Non-completion of Work in Various Schools

The Directorate of Education has written to the PWD over non-completion of work in various schools by the agency, saying it poses a threat to students and staffers. The government, however, said the education department wrote the letter on instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia so that if there are any deficiencies, they can be removed. “A number of complaints have been received from various schools regarding non completion of work, use of low-quality material, various deficiencies in the construction by PWD. During the course of such inspections, the deputy chief minister had instructed the heads of concerned schools to point out any shortcomings in the construction before taking over the possession of new buildings.” “On the instructions of the deputy chief minister, the education department has written to the PWD, so that the deficiencies, if any, can be removed.
