Increase revenues without burdening people: Bhatti to officials
Deccan ChronicleBhatti stressed the importance of devising strategies that align with government needs while ensuring minimal impact on people. The meeting, which included top officials such as special chief secretary, finance, K. Ramakrishna Rao, MA&UD principal secretary Dana Kishore, and finance principal secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, highlighted several key areas for action. Officials were directed to accelerate the Land Regularisation Process process, including assessing applications statewide, evaluating current income, and forecasting potential revenue for the fiscal year. The Deputy CM also emphasised avoiding past mistakes related to land pooling under the HMDA limits and addressing ongoing court disputes. Recognising the critical role of GST as a major revenue source, Bhatti instructed the preparation of a comprehensive action plan to minimise leakages and boost GST income.
