
National conference to discuss efficacy, improvement, and support of AI applications in Indian languages to be held on March 20
The HinduThe Linguistic Data Consortium for Indian Languages, a scheme of the Ministry of Education implemented at the Central Institute of Indian Languages in Mysuru, is organising a national conference on March 20. The theme of the conference is ‘Evaluation and benchmarking of publicly available artificial intelligence applications that support Indian languages’. The two-day national conference aims to discuss topics related to the evaluation and efficacy of such applications in Indian languages, brainstorm issues and challenges in improving them, and provide support to all Indian languages. A press release stated that paper presenters will deliberate on the major challenges facing Indian languages and how Indian languages can do better on the AI front.
