Guangyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone

Guangyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone was founded in August 1993 and was upgraded to a national-level economic and technological development zone in Dec 11, 2012 by the State Council. As a comprehensive transport hub in southwestern China, the zone, some 1.5 kilometers from Guangyuan's downtown area, covers a planning area of 22.7 square kilometers and expands some 103 square kilometers. By the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the zone had built Wangjiaying industrial park, Yuanjiaba industrial park and Tashanwan military-civil integration industrial park. In 2018, the gross industrial output value of the zone reached 36 billion yuan, an annual increase of 18.5 percent, accounting for one third of the city's total.
