In yet another attempt to frame standard court procedure as a witch hunt against Trump, his attorneys are claiming this will be “personally and politically prejudicial to President Trump and his family.” And on Monday, the Manhattan DA indicated he isn’t opposed to delaying Trump’s sentencing, since the former president’s attorneys admitted for the first time that they intend to appeal Merchan’s presidential immunity decision, and that he would defer to Merchan’s judgment on the matter.
