Minister Senthil Balaji inaugurates Modern Fish Market in Coimbatore

The Modern Fish Market in Pullukaadu, Coimbatore, was inaugurated on Monday by Minister for Electricity, Prohibition and Excise, V. Senthil Balaji. The market, which houses 72 shops, was proposed by the Coimbatore District Retail Fish Merchants’ Association in 2021. After the inauguration, the Minister said he had discussed the demands raised by the fish traders with the Corporation and assured them that work on a dedicated parking facility, compound walls, and street lights, as requested by the traders, would begin soon. Member of Parliament Ganapathi P. Rajkumar, District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran, Mayor R. Ranganayaki, and councillors of the Coimbatore Corporation were present at the event.
