More Game of Thrones? George RR Martin shares 'Winds of Winter’ excerpt

Since 2012, the 67-year-old writer has published several excerpts from the sixth book in the series, titled The Winds of Winter. New York: Author George RR Martin has released a chapter from a yet-unpublished book in the Game of Thrones series — the basis of the hit HBO TV show — but says he’s not done writing. The five volumes in Martin’s series — officially titled A Song of Ice and Fire — were published between 1996 and 2011. Martin missed an original deadline for Winds of Winter in late October and announced in January that he would not be able to finish the manuscript in time for the scheduled publication early this year.
