Agra Radhasoami Satsang Sabha Land Dispute | Allahabad High Court Extends Its Status Quo Order Till Oct 10
Live LawThe Allahabad High Court on Thursday extended its last week’s order till October 10 staying the demolition drive being carried out by Agra's local authority on a land claimed by Radhasoami Satsang Sabha, a religious and charitable society headquartered in the Dayalbagh area of the district. Adjourning the matter today, a bench of Justice Manish Kumar Nigam directed both the parties to maintain the status quo till October 10. It may be noted that the Society has approached the High Court by way of filing a writ petition challenging two notices from the Tehsildar of Sadar area requiring it to show cause as to why its construction over the disputed land be not removed. Further, two properties over which demolition has been carried out are protected by interim orders passed by the Allahabad High Court in separate proceedings.
