Colts rookie Anthony Richardson, veteran Gardner Minshew split first-string QB reps

Anthony Richardson dropped back during an 11-on-11 drill Thursday, surveyed the field and lofted a pass down the left sideline to new teammate Kylen Granson. “He made some big plays today on the football field,” coach Shane Steichen said Thursday after the team’s final day of voluntary OTAs. “He made some great throws, great decisions — some really next-level stuff that I’ve seen over the last couple days.” He also made some mistakes. The Colts’ prized rookie split first-string snaps with Gardner Minshew, which, Steichen said, is exactly what he planned. He said last month that he still isn’t “doing too much running right now.” Steichen added Thursday that Leonard is “progressing well,” but didn’t have a timeline for his return.
