"So you can't have a chatbot that's going to say, 'Hey, I'm going to learn how to drive a car' – that's artificial general intelligence, and that doesn't exist yet," says Sahota. "They're supposed to be rational, logical, efficient – if they do something off-the-wall and there's no good reason for it, it's probably an emotional response and not a logical one," says Sahota. "I could totally see that," he says, pointing out that chatbots can't do anything without data, which is necessary for them to grow and learn.
