Future iPhones without SIM card tray tipped once again
When the iPhone finally began supporting dual SIM cards, it was possible through the eSIM technology, which does not require inserting a physical SIM into the phone. At least two industry insiders have said Apple will remove the physical SIM card tray from the iPhone. Last week, a rumour coming from Brazilian website BlogDoiPhone said the iPhone 15 Pro will have no support for physical SIM cards and will feature the eSIM technology only. And now, reliable tipster DylanDKT, who has a good track record of sharing inside information about Apple products, has said that he is in “agreement with recent rumors regarding the removal of the physical SIM card tray.” He, however, did not mention whether it will be the 2022 iPhone series or the 2023 series to go SIM-card free. That would mean that future iPhone models will be just a slab of metal and glass without a Lightning port or SIM card tray.
