Scientist Jaiteerth Joshi takes charge as new Chief of BrahMos Aerospace
India TodayDr Jaiteerth Raghavendra Joshi has been appointed as the new Chief of BrahMos Aerospace, the organisation behind the world's most potent supersonic cruise missile system. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Dr Joshi has made significant contributions to missile technology, non-destructive testing, and the professional skill development of industry experts. Beyond his contributions to missile systems, Dr Joshi has been instrumental in training and certifying over 600 candidates in Level-I and Level-II NDT techniques, such as radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing. In its naval configuration, the BRAHMOS missile has been designed for vertical or inclined launch modes from moving or static maritime platforms, making it a versatile "Prime Strike Weapon" for the Indian Navy.
