PGI cadre review: Institute given three weeks to respond in contempt petition
Hindustan TimesIn the ongoing case at the Central Administrative Tribunal, Chandigarh bench, regarding the 3rd cadre review at PGIMER, the institute has been given three weeks to provide its response during the recent hearing on March 18 in contempt petition filed by PGI employees union non-faculty. Chairperson of the PGI Contract Workers’ Union’s joint action committee and former president of the PGI employees union non-faculty Ashwani Kumar Munjal, expressed concern over the lack of cadre reviews at PGIMER. “Following our legal action, the PGIMER committee issued a notification outlining the chairman and other members of the cadre review committee,” added Munjal. The CAT bench, in its order dated April 17, 2023, directed PGIMER to take decision on the report of 3rd cadre review recommendations within a period of six 6 months.
