More Victorian COVID cases are confirmed in Melbourne linked to Sydney outbreak

Key points: There are now six active cases of coronavirus in Victoria acquired in the community The outbreak has been linked to a Thai restaurant at Black Rock The wearing of masks indoors will be mandatory from 5:00pm today Three cases that were identified yesterday have all been linked, directly or through close contacts, to a Thai restaurant at Black Rock, in Melbourne's south-east. The seven exposure sites now include: Smile Buffalo Thai restaurant at Black Rock on December 21 Century City Walk and Mocha Jo's in Glen Waverley between 1:30pm and 5:00pm on December 28 Katialo restaurant in the Eaton Mall at Oakleigh between 7:00pm and 8:15pm on December 28 Mentone/Parkdale Beach at Mentone between 10:00am and 4:30pm on December 27 Holy Family Parish Doveton between 4:00pm and 6:00pm on December 26 Kmart, Big W, Target, Millers, King of Gifts and Lo Costa stores at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre on December 26 between 9:00am and 11:00am National Golf Club at Cape Schanck on December 30 between 11:40am and 1:30pm DHHS said anyone who visited any of the locations during the times indicated must get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result. The Government said travellers who had visited either region from December 27 would have until midnight on New Year's Eve to enter Victoria. The Victorian Government said the new restrictions had been introduced in response to 18 new cases of COVID-19 being reported in NSW, including six from a new cluster in Sydney's inner west.
