Farmers to Receive Rs 5,000 per Acre Under Rythu Bandhu for Current Kharif Season

HYDERABAD: Farmers will receive Rythu Bandhu amount of Rs 5,000 per acre for the current kharif season too, official sources said. The Congress government had continued the previous BRS government's Rythu Bandhu of Rs 5,000 per acre for the rabi season. The previous BRS government extended Rythu Bandhu even to non-agriculture lands such real estate ventures, hillocks and land that were acquired by the government for roads, irrigation projects and other public purposes. Revanth Reddy also wants to take feedback of all parties on whether to impose upper limit on land extent such as five acres or ten acres to extend the benefit or continue the existing method of giving Rythu Bandhu to all farmers irrespective of land extent they own.
