In a significant turn of events, 71-year-old former Vice Chancellor of Calicut University, Abdul Salam, has secured a ticket to contest the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Elections from the Bharatiya Janata Party. Abdul Salam said, “I have not seen a better person than Modi. Some mullahs have twisted and presented the original Quran and have misled the youth.” Sharing his experience of meeting PM Modi, Salam said, “He did not smile but he shook hands with me. I’ve been observing his journey from Gujarat to Delhi over the last 21 years.” Salam added that PM Modi’s anti-Muslim image is a fabricated narrative by the opposition.
