Accenture revenue forecast hits IT stocks, Infosys, Wipro fall

Information Technology stocks tumbled in early trade on Friday after global IT giant Accenture reported its second quarter results for the financial year 2025-26. Accenture, which is seen as a key indicator for the Indian IT sector, raised the lower end of its annual revenue forecast but kept the upper end unchanged. Shares of Accenture also ended over 7% lower on the New York Stock Exchange as concerns rose over its future earnings potential. Infosys and Wipro ADRs fell as much as 4% during the overnight trading session, indicating that IT stocks were likely to decline on Dalal Street as well.
