Withdrawal of the Personal Data Protection Bill was a bad move

The committee released its draft Personal Data Protection Bill in 2018, which was the first public articulation of a data protection law in India. In December 2019, the Government introduced the PDP Bill, 2019 in the Lok Sabha as a comprehensive personal data protection regime.
